Methods to Control the Projection Distortion in the Survey Work for Distance Transmission Pipeline

The projection distortion in transmission pipeline is unavoidable. Based on the distortion theory about Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) projection (including the gauss projection in China), the relevant methods are discussed to meet the Survey code for long-distance oil and gas pipeline systems requirements on stations and route. Also, some experiences are summarized in the paper.
