ARQ Scheme Combining with AMC and Adaptive Frame Length Techniques

Based on the analysis of the throughput performance in mobile communication systems, an Automatic Rrepeat Request (ARQ) scheme was proposed combining with Adaptive Modulation and Coding (AMC) and adaptive frame length techniques. This scheme chose the most suitable modulation, coding and frame length to transfer data, and retransmitted those frames which were received inaccurately. It could improve the throughput for a desired level of Frame Error Ratio (FER). Simulations results verify its enhancement to the throughput performance of the system link.
