Storing and Restoring the Master Boot Record of the Hard Disk

The master boot record of the hard disk contains the boot code and partition information.When your computer starts,the ROMBIOS loads the master boot record into memory,and passes the control to the first instruction of boot code,which begins the startup process,the boot code reads the boot flag of the partition table to indentify which partition it should boot from.So the safeguarding of master boot record is very important.In this paper,a new method of storing and restoring the master boot record is described ,and an example program written in assembly language is presented.
