A Project of Automatic Extracting Thumbnail from Very Large Image

It is one of the key problems for the implementation of content-based image retrieval and fast preview by thumbnail how to structure an automatic extracting thumbnail system. The paper discusses this from several aspects, including the theory of realization, flow of arithmetic and implementation of smoothness interpolation. Finally, a system developed by the authors according to the project is presented as an example and verifies the arithmetic.
