Design of laser simulated targeting system for students’ military training

Zeng Guang-yu · Applied science and technology · 2009

Aiming at the problems existed in the shooting of military training for students, a laser simulated shooting system for training based on image processing techniques was designed. The system consists of transmitter and receiver processing components. A simple laser transmitter was made by combining a 7.62mm caliber assault rifle with the firing part. The laser that fired into the surface of the laser target are acquired by CCD camera and then sent to PC to process. The managing and displaying interface is designed by VC++6.0. Finally, by using single chip microcomputer(SCM) system, the automatic report function was realized. Results show that this system can simulate live fire training more realistically, and meet the shooting requirements in the military training for students.
