Triangle Chaotic Mapping Performance Analysis and Encryption Applications

WU Cheng-mao · 2013

In order to improve the security problems of image encryption information,a new kind of chaotic map is proposed by combining a triangular chaotic map.It is applied in image encryption.Firstly, triangle Chaos mapping is defined.Secondly, the chaotic sequence generated by triangular chaotic map is quantified into discrete binary sequence.Thirdly, the indexes that include the sensitivity of initial conditions, inspection frequency, balance analysis, and the Lyapunov exponent, are applied to analyzing the random properties of binary sequence.Lastly,it is applied in image encryption research.Experimental results show that the triangular chaotic maps have a good chaotic characteristic. It has not only the huge key space for image encryption, but also the encryption method combining the triangular chaotic map with cipher diffusion in crisscross pattern can get a high-security encryption results.Analyzing the encrypted image with gray level co-occurrence matrix(GLCM),it is showed that the encrypted image has good randomness.
