Problems and countermeasures of recommending peer reviewers by authors

Authors' recommendation of peer reviewers helps journal editors to speed up the review process and improve the review efficiency.We analyze the main problems in the reviewer-recommending convention,and suggest that editors of sci-tech journals should guide the authors to recommend proper reviewers and carefully examine the recommended reviewers.In a closed peer-review system,recommended reviewers should be invited conditionally.Personal relationships during the review process should be broken and it would be best to make public the reviewers' comments.
