IPSec protocols are condeived and standardized for new network security circumstance by the Internet Engineering Task Force. Firstly, the IPSec is briefly described, and then an in depth analysis on its implementation(PF_KEY, IPsec Security Association, Security Policy, output processing, and input processing) under linux2. 4 and linux2. 6 is given, and comparisons between the two implementation importantly are also given.
