The composition and characteristics of the automatic hydrological data telemetering and forecasting system for Dalong Water Control Project are introduced,and the important function of the system in the project is described as well.Three tropic cyclones have been encountered after the completion of the system,and then the function of the system has been better proved during the information acquisition,transmission and flood forecasting.Furthermore,it is demonstrated after the actual operation that the system is safe,stable and reliable,and the role of it for flood control can not be replaced.
