Performance Analysis of Detection Algorithm for Weak Signals Covered by Strong Signal

Detection of weak signals covered by strong signal is an important problem in many fields including spectrum surveillance,threat assessment,jamming detection.In order to improve the detection algorithm and detection performance of weak signals covered by strong signal,the property of detection algorithm is studied,and the quantitative analysis also done on the unkown parameters,including signal noise ratio of strong signal,power ratio between strong and weak signals,timing error.Then by optimizing critical parameters of the algorithm,a modified algorithm is proposed,which could effecitvely suppress false alarming and raise the detection probility of week signals.Simulation indicates that the analyis is correct and the modified algorithm is feasible and effective.
