The method of using openloop transmit diversity in the DSCDMA system operating in a frequency selective fading environment is considered. In the proposed detection method, the adaptive linear multiuser detection and openloop transmit diversity are combined. The method uses the nonjoint approach, which combines the signal power by the spacetime decoder after extracting the signal on each path by the decorrelator. Based on the MOE criteria and using the RLS algorithm, the detector provides fast convergence and robustness to channel errors. Simulation results using Alamoutis code indicate that the proposed processing technique is capable of combating both channel fading and multiuser interference.
