Survey on collaboration mechanism in P2P backup system
Yanlai Yao · 2010
P2P backup systems have become a novelty solution to ensure data availability. The key idea of P2P backup systems is to use the free memory space shared by peers to store data. Because of the highly dynamic context of P2P networks, the main limit is the lack of collaboration mechanism between peers. To solve this limit,it defines a set of schedules for each peer to model its availability and needs, which solve backup collaborative problem between peers and ensure the efficient usage of peer resources. The simulation results show that performances of P2P backup system based on scheduling collaboration mechanism is improved.
