Changlei Dai · World Geology · 2004
Development of groundwater information management system based on GIS is one of hot issues of water resources management research nowadays. Based on users' instructions, basic software and specific function modules, the system can ancillary make decisions by changing discrete data into knowledge users need. According to the analysis of the contents, structure and characteristics of groundwater information, the article describes data, information and knowledge flows in the system. On the basis of analysis of users' type and hierarchy, authors draw the constraint set table of the relationship between users and functions. Analysing and discussing the development principles, tools and modes, the article shows a feasible logical model of groundwater information management system based on GIS.
