Review and development on fault diagnosis in power grid

The current proposed methods for fault diagnosis of power grid,including expert system,artificial neural network,Petri net,Bayesian network,optimization method,fuzzy set theory,information theory and multi-agent system,are surveyed.The diagnosis principle and characteristics of these methods for power grid fault diagnosis are briefly analyzed and the existing flaws and the research results recently are reviewed as well.Finally,several key technical issues and the main development trends of the topic are pointed out to solve the practical problems and motivate further developments.
