Marine main engine shafting fault diagnosis is important for ship' safe operation.Rough set approach is proved to be very useful in dealing with complex and uncertain problems.The marine diagnosis model based on rough set is established.The fault diagnosis data is discretized by NaiveScaler method.A reduct is solved by heuristic search algorithm based on attribute significance,then the rules of fault diagnosis are acquired.Finally,the validity is verified by an example.
