Study on Power Control in WCDMA

Power control is a key technology for the wireless comunication network of the new generation. How to use the power control to decrease the transmittion power and lessen the system interference, and thus to raise the system capacity while ensure the QoS required by users, is of great importance in WCDMA Technology.This paper expatiates on the principles, algorithms and existent problems of the power control in WCDMA, including the inner loop power control, outer loop power control, uplink power control, downlink power control, coming up with one outer-loop power power control algorithm and some research directions.
