Application of GIS in Hydrogeological Information System of Zhengzhou City

Based on GIS,hydrogeological information system of Zhengzhou city is designed and developed by using MapInfo Professional 5.0 and MapX 4.0,a component for second development in order to query and analyze the geological and hydrogeological conditions and the status of water resources more directly and conveniently as well as visualize the geographical environments.Making use of the system,the user can analyze and manage the hydrogeological data and display the results by graphs and texts,the analytical result has achieved the goal that assists the users to make decision and management.
