Data Dissemination Based on Broadcast Disk

Under the asymmetry communication environment the traditional client/server model aren't well applied. A new data delivery mechanism called broadcast disk is proposed. The broadcast channel is built as multiple disks spinning at different speeds, in effect creating a fine-grained memory hierarchy. This paper gives a brief overview of broadcast disk organization, client cache management, data consistency and related issues.
