As a simple,flexible,high-efficient script language,Python is mostly suitable for the prototyping method.The paper introduces the characters of Python and Matlab.Several methods about mixed-language programming with Python and Matlab are present.They improve the efficiency of software development by the combination of Python and Matlab.It focuses on the method that Python call the function of the COM which is created by Matlab COM Builder.
