The Performance Analysis and Implementation of SFTP Based on Network Backup Systems

In order to improve the performance of network backup systems, a novel smart file transfer mechanism called SFTP is presented. It uses the idea of Disk Caching Disk for reference, decreases the negotiatory time of clients and servers by reusing data connection during multiple file transfers, and has great enhancement compared with ordinary FTP. This paper analyzes the performance of FTP; thereby presents the idea of SFTP and discusses its implementation mechanism. Experimental results show that the optimized system has a superb performance for small file transfer compared to the existing FTP systems.
