Sensor for Measurement of Grain Moisture Content Online

A sensor for the measurement of grain moisture content online was presented,which was based on capacitance measurement.The new structure and the mathematical model of the sensor were introduced.By theory analysis and ANSYS simulation,the structure parameters of the sensor were given.Then the design of the sensor-related hardware and software were demonstrated in details.The results of experiment show that the accuracy of the sensor is better than 0.5% when the range of the grain moisture content is between 10% and 18%.The sensor,with characteristics of a 抹偶的陆川靠small size,having RS-485 communication interface and being easily deployed in granaries, can be successfully used in granary for the measurement of grain moisture content online.
