Power Control for Reservation Channel Access in Ad Hoc Networks

In wireless Ad Hoc networks, power control for datagram is used for saving energy or improving channel utilization. As multimedia develops, the paper proposes two schemes for real-time packet or mixed packet. In reservation channel access, one scheme improves PCM adopting dynamic measure and proposes T-PCM. Another scheme improves PCMA adopting priority and proposes T-PCMA. By using simulation soft of MAISIE, the paper evaluates the performance of the efficiency for saving power of T-PCM, ratio of interrupting of T-PCM and ratio of utilizing channel of T-PCMA. The result indicates T-PCM reaches the purpose of saving energy and T-PCMA reaches the purpose of improving utilization of channel. So T-PCM and T-PCMA are suitable for real-time packet or mixed packet
