Enchytraeus bulbosus(Clitellata:Plesiopora:Enchytraeidae)is a new pest that is severely injuring American ginseng seedlings in Liuba county,Shaanxi province,China. The physiological time of the enchytraeid was studied at constant temperatures 11.9,15.0,18.0,21.0,24.2,27.1,30.3,and 33.0 ℃in 8cabinets respectively in the laboratory, and its mean developmental durations(N)in egg, larval, preoviposition, and full generation stages were measured and calculated under each temperature, and subjected to an ANOVA.N was transformed into developmental rate(V,V=1/N),and a linear correlation and regression analysis was conducted on rearing temperature(T)against V via the least square method, from which transitive equations were established and the threshold temperatures and thermal constants were obtained directly. The transitive linear equations were transformed back and reciprocal models were constructed as N = K/(T- C).The results were:r=0.996***,N=95.9/(T-6.1)in egg stage;r=0.982***,N=96.2/(T-6.0)in larval stage,r=0.990***,N=238.4/(T-5.4)in full generation.Values Cand Kreflected physioecological parameters of the enchytraeid, and would play an active role in making its IPM program.
