This paper studied using low-dropout(LDO) voltage regulator in order to reduce current consumption in the active tag RFID system using the ZigBee standard.Label non-beacon data transfer mode. Two sets of tests were conducted using tags with and without LDO voltage regulators, separately. We determined the current consumed by the active tag,and the results showed that, when LDO regulator voltage was used to adjust the input voltage, the current consumption remained stable, and the system transmission range was increased.
