Dynamic key management scheme for wireless sensor networks based on polynomial keys

Qingqing Ding · Journal of Tsinghua University(Science and Technology) · 2009

Dynamic key management is prone to on-line attacks from compromised nodes that are still working in the network. This paper presents a common bivariate polynomial key instead of the normal key used in EBS systems with a dynamic key management scheme for clustered wireless sensor networks.Analytical results show that the scheme greatly improves network resilience to online attacks from compromised nodes and reduces the energy consumption used for updating the administration and session keys.
