Jointly Estimating 3-D Parameters of Near-Field Sources Based on Fourth-Order Cumulant
Bo Wang · Journal of Jilin University · 2006
A new method is presented aiming at jointly estimating 3-D parameters(elevation, bearing and range) of near-field narrowband sources, which uses eigenvalues together with the corresponding eigenvectors and four-order cumulant. The method does not need spectral peak searching, needs only simple 1-D parameter pairing, the computer burden is moderate, and it can be applied to additive Guassian noise environments. The computer simulations show that the parameters of sources can be estimated correctly even when the SNR(Signal-to-Noise Ratio) is 0.
