Heterogeneous databases integration approach based on ontology

Ontology has a strong ability in expressing the concept semantics of specified domain and speculating,so it is gradually applied to data integration of multiple data sources to eliminate the semantic heterogeneous.An information integration approach based on hybrid ontology is given,which needs establishing local ontology for every data source,a global ontology and a mapping between them.Hereby it can decompose the overall search to the global ontology to each bottom data source.The emphasis focus on the issue of ontology mapping between the global ontology and the local ontology,by the means of adding attribute conversion to the mapping overcoming the drawback in other mapping form,which can only express simple mapping and have difficult to maintain the mapping.At the same time the accuracy and comprehensiveness of the search is improved.
