In embedded systems based on Flash memory, the software architecture can be divided into two parts: bootloader, and application.Bootloader sets up runtime environment of application, and upgrades application when necessary. This paper mainly introduces how to design a bootloader according to Cortex-M3 kernel features, and analysis the principle and the processing of booting, which is proved to be convenient to porting to other chips and meet the needs of engineering with testing on STM32F107 chip. Some notes are emphasized when programming application, which is obviously of great value in practice.
