Intrusion Detection Technology is an important active defense of network information security technology. Using data mining technologies will to help improve the accuracy of intrusion detection,and it becomes the research hot spot in the invasion examination domain.This paper introduces、analyzes and compares intrusion detection techniques based on data mining . And forecast on how to apply the new technology of data mining area (GEP) in the Intrusion Detection System.
