Firstly,the paper points out the imperfection of the possibility used in ranking interval numbers in. Then, it gives the definition of relative superiority describing big or small interval number, and a new ranking method of fuzzy complementary matrix respectively. On the basis of this, it gives a method for ranking interval numbers.
