Research on distributed-seismic data processing system

Seismic data processing is an extremely complicated system, which refers to many functional modules that construct an integral system of seismic data processing. Based on computer-network technique this paper proposes a new kind of distributed-seismic data processing system to enhance the quality and reduce the period of seismic data processing. In the system the seismic data uses two kinds of managements: the local seismic databases and the whole seismic databases. The functional modules apply the local management and they are managed by their own processing system. Through computer-network a couple of seismic data processing systems on different computers are connected together to execute a processing procedure. The most important advantages of the system are that it can optimize the module-assembling, share seismic data and construct the optimum processing flow so as to finish the seismic data processing more quickly and more efficiently.
