Design and Application of SCADA Systems for Coalbed Methane Drilling Rig

Considering that no rational communication is established among working modules of domestic coalbed methane drilling rig and the data of each system cannot be shared with other systems,the data acquisition and monitoring system is introduced to the coalbed methane drilling rig. At the working units with different communication protocols,the system establishes a reliable and efficient data acquisition and monitoring system through the SAE J1939 bus protocol and Modbus-RTU protocol conversion. Wireless transmitter and receiver are adopted in the system design to transmit the rig data to the remote computer. Field application results show that the data acquisition and monitoring system can not only monitor the working status of coalbed methane drilling rig,but also record and store mass of data,thus changing the state that various electronic control systems are independent of each other and their data cannot be shared.
