Research on Chinese Netizens' Interests Based on Forum

Studies general interests shared by Chinese Web users by analyzing the content that netizens published on Chinese forums.By tracking the numbers of online user and daily submitted posts of a group of popular Chinese forums,indicates interests shared by forum users can be regarded as social interests.Uses data mining technique to investigate specific Chinese social interests by analyzing the user-generated content of Tianya forum.Introduces a new data type called quantitative hierarchy tree to describe shared community interests and obtain encouraging results in our experiments.The experimental result shows that analyzing forum content is able to identify social interests and social hot topics automatically.
