Design of optical RAID used on Windows NT platform

Xu Xue · 1999

Optical RAID can be widely used in multimedia storage systems. A method of designing optical RAID used on Windows NT platform is described. Layered architecture is used to make drivers of optical RAID more simple and flexible. Drivers of optical RAID are composed of five layers: file system driver, RAID filter driver, optical disk class driver, SCSI port driver and SCSI mini port driver. Optical RAID developed by this method is simple to use and its data transfer rate is close to theoretical value.
