Research on time delay estimation algorithm based on generalized cross correlation

The time delay estimation is most important in locating of sound source adopting time difference,its precision affects directly the accuracy of location.Generalized cross-correlation between the reverberation and unreverberation is developed in this paper.Time delay estimation under different noise and reverberation(conditions) is investigated through the experiment.The experiment results show that the algorithm has a better performance in the unreverberant and little reverberant circumstances than that in strong reverberation.
