Low Energy Consumption Research on MAC Protocol of IEEE802.15.4

IEEE802.15.4 standard targets for short range wireless communication among low-rate,low-power and low-cost devices.Low energy-consumption design is not only the most important problem with IEEE802.15.4 standard,but also is one of the important parameters of network performance.Study the MAC layer protocol of IEEE802.15.4 standard and csma-ca algorithm,then introduce the probability mechanism to reduce the energy-consumption.The simulation result shows that the proposed scheme can decrease the packet-loss ratio which resulted from packet collision when the network load is high,so that raise the successful send raito,significantly improve the network throughput and decrease the whole network energy-consumption.
