Application of quadtree theory in fractal image coding

In the field of fractal image coding,classic theory of quadtree and different kinds of modified algorithms are used,promoting the accuracy of the coding.This article mainly studies the fractal image coding method,the classic theory of quadtree and the algorithm of Fisher adaptive quadtree,also this article presents an advanced quadtree coding method.At the end,we verify the methods through the tool VC6.0,the results show that compared with some similar image compressing and coding methods,the advanced quadtree coding method presented in this article has higher compression ratio and shorter compression time.
