An opportunistic routing protocol based on geographic information is proposed. The protocol selected candidate nodes with optimized parameters. In order to determine the data forwarding priority of candidate nodes in the route table,a expected packet advancement(EPA) is introduced. The parameter EPA took link quality and packet transmission distance into account and determined the closer the candidate nodes away from target node the higher data forwarding priority they have. The forwarding strategy could achieve maximum EPA through theoretical analysis and it is a local optimal strategy.Simulation results show that this protocol surpass geographic routing protocol significantly in the performance of data transmission delay and throughput.
