Beginning with an analysis of the present situation of WEB information retrieval, points out its main limitations and induces WEB data mining. Then the relationship between WEB information retrieval and WEB data mining is introduced. At last, how to use WEB data mining into WEB information retrieval fields is discussed to improve efficiency and quality of WEB information retrieval.
