Block-Matching Motion Estimation Based on Edge-Detection and Motion-Vector-Field Compression

In this paper,the compression of image which is moved slowly is realized with the run length of motion vector field,thereby that reduce memory space and make for image transmission.And edge detection is introduced into head-and-shoulder sequence which is always in video conference and visual telephone.Motion vector field is improved and the image code ratio is reduced over forty percent.
