Simulation and Design of X-band Five-bit Digital Phase Shifter Based on Simulation Software ADS

In this paper,the design of X-band fivebit digital phase shifter with software ADS using PIN as switches,which phase shift bits are cascaded in a linear arrangement is introduced.The electrical specification of the phase shifter and the switch specification of PIN are presented and the operation principal,designed and simulation of an X-band fivebit phase shifter are described.Provide the result of simulation and the result that simulation has out meets the demands.The RMS is below 3 degrees,the insertion loss is among 1.7~2.9 dB,and the return loss is smaller than 15 dB.
