Generation of line vector buffer and its implementation in GIS

On the basis of Salient-arc algorithm,The authors conclude several core problems of the generation of line vector buffer firstly,such as self-intersect,distortions of the buffer,generation of asymmetric buffer and intersection of the axes and so on.Then,some related algorithms are proposed.Finally,the specific process of line object buffer construction based on the methods is discussed.
