Research and implementation of the carrier and code NCO in a satellite navigation

The carrier and code NCO(numerically controlled oscillator) is an important part of satellite navigation receiver.The architecture,principle and function of the carrier and code NCO in satellite navigation receiver are described.According to the requirements of project implementation,the basic parameters and configuration are given,and N which is the phase accumulator bits of NCO is 32.By using the Quartus II 9.1 and ModelSim6.3g development tools and the field programmable gate array(FPGA) in verilog HDL,the design and simulation of the carrier and code NCO is implemented.By the procedure simulating and actual receiver testing,it is shown that the design of the carrier and code NCO meets the requirement of the satellite navigation receiver.
