Generalized Morphological Opening-closing Transform Based feeder Selection Algorithm for Neutral Un-effectual Grounded System
Pei Liu · Proceedings of the CSEE · 2006
Single phase-to-earth faults are the most frequent faults likely to occur in power distribution networks. This paper analyses the characteristic of the zero sequence transient currents of a Neutral Un-Effectual Grounded System (NUEGS) when a single phase-to-earth fault occurs. Then a new algorithm for fault feeder selecting based on generalized morphological transform is put forward, which combines the excellent singularity detecting together with the noise-repressing abilities of mathematical morphology filter. The results of simulation using ATP demonstrate that this algorithm is immune to the variation of network structures and parameters. It also has the ability of enduring high transition resistance.
