Network Coding-aware Lower Delay Routing in Wireless Mesh Networks

Wireless mesh networks use network coding techniques can improve the transmission performance.Thus,a lower delay routing protocol of w ireless Mesh netw ork based on netw ork coding in multicast communications is presented.This paper introduced the conception key nodes and super-key nodes,and the corresponding selection algorithm.The next hop nodes w hether super-key nodes or key nodes as the routing metric in this protocol.Next hop routing nodes priority select super-key nodes,second,select key nodes,last,select general nodes.It can increase netw ork coding opportunities and achieve low er delay.Sample,performance analysis and simulation results show that this protocol can better support netw ork coding w hile improve multicast throughput,significant reduce the delay.
