Multimedia communication in Internet requires congestion control mechanism with high performance to insure quality of service in definite degree. With the information of the feedback message of real-time transfer protocol RTP, AIMD congestion adjustment arithmetic with parameter varying adaptively is exploited to abate congestion. Finally, modified adaptive congestion control arithmetic for unicast multimedia streaming can be gained. This paper analyzes this arithmetic with OPNET simulation tool. Under diversified loss ration condition, it behaves goodly on performance, such as the smoothness of sending rate. It can satisfy the requirement of transfer character of multimedia steaming transferred in Internet network.
