Application of CBR in Fault Diagnosis Expert System for Machinery

The CBR Technology,a new branch of artificial intelligence,is introduced to the machinery's fault-diagnosis system,and the mechanism of fault diagnosis expert system based on CBR is introduced,process of the CBR fault diagnosis is analyzed from three aspects: expression and memory of the case,retrieving and matching of the case,modification and maintenance of the case.It is shown that the CBR method is implemented flexibly and simply with strong self-learning ability.Using a large amount of case reasoning set,it can accumulate the experience of problem solving,avoid the difficulty of knowledge acquisition,shorten the course of solving problems,and save the time of development.Above all,it has a very good application prospect.
