Design and Application of Database System of Endemic Fluoride and Arsenic Poisoning Area in the Western of Jilin Province

Through collecting the disease investigation data,groundwater,soil and biological samples tested data in the Western Jilin Province,an endemic fluoride and arseniasis area,Endemic Information Database System(EMDS) was developed with the softwares of Visual Basic 6.0 and Access 2003.According to the data management and comprehensive analysis,the EMDS has not only fulfilled the general functions but also developed the water quality assessment module,which realized the water quality assessment and classification.In addition,it can also supply the user dynamic displaying and statistical analyzing the results.This system has many advantages,such as simple and practical operation,friendly interface,completed functions of data processing.It achieves the systematization,standardization and modernization about the management of basic data.
