Applying EM Segmentation Algorithm Based-on GMM to Content-Based Image Retrieval

Most image segmentation algorithm does not fit to content-based image retrieval,because the result is over segmentation.In this paper we apply EM(Expectation Maximization) algorithm to get a series of meaningful regions for image segmentation,it can get better result for image retrieval.Experiments show that the algorithm can basically get significant regions of image,and is an appropriate segmentation algorithm for image retrieval.
