Realization for Orthogonal Signal and General Amplitude Modulation Signal Based on CPLD

Based on CPLD and the technology of Direct Digital Synthesis,this paper presents the design and realization for a pair of orthogonal sinusoidal signals with a precise control of the phase difference and a kind of general amplitude modulation signal with a programmable modulation index control.A practical approach is outlined for designing the CPLD parameters and overcoming the competition risk problem.The calculations are conducted to estimate the theoretical phase errors of the system.This paper briefs the merits of utilizing of this designing method.
